Building For The Future

Since 1938, the Vedanta Society of Western Washington has gathered in our current building. Over the decades, countless seekers have found inspiration, community, and peace here. But today, we are outgrowing the space.

On major festival days, the chapel is full to overflowing, and many attendees watch from other rooms or via livestream from home. Our retreat center is beautiful, yet too far for many and not large enough to meet the need. To continue welcoming all who come, we are starting to plan for a larger, more accessible home.

Building for Today, Securing Tomorrow

As we look toward a new building, we not only need to cover the purchase price, but also essential renovations and the ongoing care of the space. This is why your support is so important. Every contribution to the Building Fund helps us grow beyond our current walls while ensuring that the Society can continue to welcome all who come.

The Vedanta Society has also been blessed with a strong endowment — a fund carefully invested to provide stability for our daily operations and long-term future. By design, the majority of this endowment must remain intact so it can support the Society for generations to come. By growing our Building Fund separately, we protect the endowment while securing today’s needs and tomorrow’s vitality.
