Karma Yoga, in Vedantic philosophy, is the path of selfless action, where one performs duties without attachment to the results, seeing work as an offering to the divine. This practice emphasizes acting with dedication, and detachment, focusing on the process rather than the outcome, thereby transforming everyday actions into a spiritual discipline that leads to self-realization and liberation from the cycle of birth and rebirth.
We will meet at 10am for a brief talk by Swami Brahmatmananda, “Introduction to What is Karma Yoga?”.
Thereafter, we will work inside and/or outside depending on the weather. All skill levels are welcome! Please attend wearing appropriate work clothes and footwear.
Show up and work for as long as you’d like; some arrive in the morning, departing after 1pm lunch; others arrive at lunch and spend the afternoon; and still others remain all day. The choice is yours!
Lunch is around 1pm, but varies depending on what we’re working on. Most people bring a sack lunch for themselves, and some bring a dish to share. Whatever you choose is all good – we’re very casual.
